Krista: So thanks Brak for joining us. Today we're gonna be talking about process transformation and artificial intelligence and this is really exciting. So can you tell me where does artificial intelligence really fit in process transformation?
Brak: Artificial in intelligence is kind of a specific term. It's referring to machines or sets of technologies which are sets of algorithms which are learning and improving a lot of the times without human supervision. The data structures are unknown and are being discovered as you go through getting cognitive graphs. Most of where we see really data science and process transformation are statistical techniques and process automation is really more at the data science, the stats area. They're much simpler. The reason for that's pretty simple. To do a successful artificial intelligence, to train an artificial intelligence machine or an engine is an expensive project. You have to hire a team of data scientists. You have to hire a technical team. You have to gather really, really high quality data and then you have to train that machine over a period of time, maybe a year, might be more than one year to get the to answer a question. There are use cases for that type of investment. Curing cancer is an awesome use case for that type of investment. On the other side of the equation, you have problems we see everyday in the digital process automation space that can use statistical techniques to improve the technical implementation but don't require that kind of massive implementation of data science or artificial intelligence. A great example it, we have a customer, we're helping them do task projection. So the statistical technique is a very simpler linear regression model. You probably all learned about it in school, but all it requires is some data, and some very simple algorithms to fit the equation, but that's providing the business with real value. So really what we talked about when we talk about artificial intelligence and process transformation when we approach our customers, we encourage them to think about the right fit for their use case. If the use case is curing cancer, then we need to be looking at big and powerful tools like artificial intelligence.
If the answer is, I wish I had a guess at what was gonna happen on Tuesday, there's much simpler and much cheeper statistical techniques that we can be using that provide high quality answers, maybe not perfect, but high quality answers working together with our customers.
