Trilogy Alumni = Recruiting

Interesting article on LinkedIn by Mark Cunningham, a well-known recruiter here in Austin, Texas.  Mark waxed prolific about several of his favorite software execs (and presumably customers) in his post:

  • Chad Walters
  • Matt Howitt
  • Samy Aboel-Nil
  • Rad Favaron
  • Phil Gilbert
  • Scott Bonneau
  • QingQing
  • Bobby Beckmann
  • Keith Zoellner

The first 6 are Trilogy alumni.  I think I was Matt Howitt’s first interviewer on campus at Harvard back in ’97.  Chad and Scott were in the ’99 class and I went out of my way to work with Scott more than once at Trilogy (and he helped recruit me to Lombardi).

If there’s one thing you’ll find in common about Trilogy alumni, it is that core belief in recruiting – process and people – and that talent will win out (something we discussed on the SXSW-interactive panel in March).  I hope it is something I am passing on to our team at BP3.
