So Austin Monthly has put together the ultimate guide to TexMex in Austin, Texas.  Sign me up.

Austinites know it’s not unusual to fill your day with Tex-Mex eats. From breakfast tacos in the a.m. to margaritas and enchiladas in the p.m. (and chips and queso pretty much anytime in between), it’s an easy—and delicious—thing to do.

Since Tex-Mex is the food of our city, we figured that naming the best joints in town was too tall of an order. Picking a favorite is a very personal choice, depending on where you grew up in Texas (San Antonio, the Rio Grande Valley, Corpus Christi, etc.), how fond you are of home-cooked Tex-Mex and how high you hold your standards of authenticity. So instead, we decided to put together the ultimate guide to the down-home cuisine. And we even got some help—Mando Rayo and Jarod Neece of tacojournalism.com served as our consultants for the story.

This page is worth clicking through the 15 categories, trust me. I’m adding restaurants to my must-try list.
