But set aside the Wave for a minute and let’s look at some of the findings about the market and trends.

The report itself is pretty interesting.  Forrester identifies a new breed of consultant that can bridge the gap between BPM and digital business automation or transformation. We found ourselves nodding our heads as we read the report, as we’ve been making investments that are well aligned with their findings.

“The extension of BPM to digital business automation is a quantum leap for business process leaders. And traditional business process teams won’t be able to make this leap on their own”

We’ve been embedding UX design talent in our client engagements. We’ve been making use of experimentation and proofs of concept with our customers.  We’ve been focused on customer experience with our customers.

“BP3 helps clients push beyond boundaries for digital process innovation.”

This is roughly the market opportunity that BP3 is focused on.  We’re here to help our customers apply technology to solve problems with real business complexity.  We couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity ahead.

It’s a fascinating report. If you’re not getting enough out of your BPM implementation, or out of your service provider, read it.  If you’re not getting enough out of your digital business transformation efforts – read it!   It’s time to add some operational process steak to the digital business automation sizzle.  You can find the report right here, freely available.
