BP3 takes 2nd Place in bpmNEXT "Best in Show" Voting

bpmNEXTOne of the traditions of bpmNEXT is to vote on “Best in Show”. After all the presentations have been presented, after all the demonstrations have been demonstrated, there’s the vote.  Previous winners have included Fluxicon and Kapow, if my memory serves well.  This year SAP took the prize with a slick demo that included use of an Android Gear watch (though, later, they admitted they only use the watch for demonstrations, as it “isn’t really a watch” otherwise).  Congrats to our colleagues Harsh and Benny from SAP on the win!  (And thanks to Benny for sharing some awesome pictures of the event as well).Ivan driving the demo while Scott looks on

bpmNEXT organizers Bruce Silver and Nathaniel Palmer were kind enough to share the top five places at this year’s contest, and I’m proud to announce that BP3 came in second, with our demonstration of Neches Analysis – the static analysis tool for BPM.  It was a well-earned victory for my friend Ivan Kornienko who is responsible for the vision of the user experience, as well as the execution of the presentation and demonstration.  The reception from the audience was even more positive than we had hoped.  Of course, there would have been nothing to demonstrate without a product- and our BP Labs team deserves a lot of credit for producing something with few analogs in BPM, and which really resonates with our customers.

The slides are shared here on slideshare:

And if you’d like to see a video of Neches, this isn’t our presentation but it is the next best thing for now:

Looking forward to doing this again in 2016.  I hear the location for next year is up for discussion, so get your votes in with the organizers!

On a humorous note, our slide notes were caught on screen much to the delight of the audience, they included my tongue-in-cheek reminder to put our “awesome” mugshots… Thanks of course to Sandy Kemsley for tweeting them out!

On a more serious note, Sandy’s notes from our talk can be found here.
