BP3 Named #16 in Austin Business Journal's Fast 50

BP3 has once again made the Austin Fast 50 list published by the Austin Business Journal.  This year BP3 not only graduated to the “Over $10M” category, we also moved up to #16 on the list.  The numbers are based on 2012, 2013, and 2014 results, a time period in which BP3 generated 48% CAGR growth.  Our two year growth between 2013 and 2015 is forecasting to be higher still.

Text from the coverage:

“BP3 builds innovative business process solutions for Fortune 500 clients and Global 1000 clients.  In 2012, revenue was $6 million.  Then in 2013 it was $8 million.  Last year: More than $13 million.  Executives say keys to growth are growing the reoccurring revenue base, which accounts for about 20 percent of revenue today.  The company also wants to continue to press hard into Europe and Australia.”

Indeed, BP3 is pressing into Europe.  And we’re also growing nicely in the US.  I am particularly proud of our team this year because every year, as we grow, the doubters will tell us that “well, now it gets hard because consulting doesn’t scale.”  That “hiring great people doesn’t scale”. That “the next level is really hard.”

To which I’d say, all of those things may be true, but we’re no where near the ceiling yet – and we have a long way to go.  As long as we can find people passionate about BPM and about creating tremendous values for our customers, we’re going to have a great business.

In short, I’m proud of the growth. And I’m proud that we’ve gotten the growth by doing something contrarian: focusing on anything BUT the growth.  We’re focused on building our customers, and our team.  The growth follows from doing everything else right.  And I’m even more humbled by the fact that we’re able to grow this way while also getting recognition by Fortune and Great Place to Work as one of the 25 Best Small Companies to Work for in 2015!

This has been a pretty special week.
