Austin Business Journal: BP3 is #8 in Austin Fast 50

BP3 placed #11 in last year’s list, but this year we were up a couple of notches to #8 in the “Under $10M” category of the Austin Business Journal’s Fast 50 listing. We went to the reception last week and it was packed with companies that are doing really, really well.

What it does: BP3 Global accelerates process innovation by simplifying business process management – or BPM – and software experiences: mobile, cloud, and solution-oriented research and development.
How it’s Different: We’ve created a process-oriented, mobile-app framework. We were first to put IBM BPM in the cloud. And we’ve developed innovative BPM solutions out of our BP Labs group.
Keys to Growth: The great people we hire are No. 1. We earn our business every day with our great people and their dedication to our customers. Second, we work really well with our partners, securing business development channels that smooth our our own sales ups and downs. Third, the general BPM tide has been lifting for the last decade.
Plans for Growth: We’re building on our early experience building process-enabled mobile applications. We expect innovations from our R&D group, BP Labs, to drive advantages over the competition. We’ll continue to build our relationships with partners, and look to grow our business relationships with our existing customers.
Because the numbers reflect 2009, 2010, and 2011 they’re already nearly a year old. I expect we’ll be somewhere on the list again next year based on how 2012 is going.
Just as with last year, many of the fast-growing firms are not in tech. I think that’s a good thing for the economy, but I also note that many of these allegedly low-tech businesses are taking full advantage of technology in their young companies – often stealing a march on more entrenched participants.
Finally, at BP3 we still look at growth as the happy outcome of doing good work for our customers, and minding our own work and processes well. It isn’t the cake itself, it is just the icing, if you will. We’re going to just keep focusing on being the best consultancy to work with in the BPM universe and do the best we can by our customers and partners.
