IMG_6341Wellshift’s blog just had a nice call-out to the Austin best places to work who take wellness seriously:

Austin Business Journal has announced it’s list of The Best Places to Work in 2016. These winners were picked due to their innovative cultures that truly elevates their employees. Among the winning companies ranked and honored on the list, three partner with Wellshift to create a culture that focuses on employee well-being. A big cheers to our partners at BP3, Spredfast and Square Root on being named one of ABJ’s best places to work in Austin, the fastest growing city in America this year, according to Forbes.

This month we were competing to get 5K’s done – I got mine done under the wire for my team, because our team is trailing on participation and that’s what you do when you’re on a team – you get your share of the work done! And the main thing I learned is that I probably need to think about running more 5K’s and get in better shape!

I appreciate that Wellshift has given our team tools for socializing healthy behavior.   And I like that there are local companies in Austin that literally have based their business model on helping other companies improve their culture:

  • Wellshift – fitness
  • Student Loan Genius – student loan advice, matching, and financing
  • YouEarnedIt – peer-to-peer appreciation

And that just scratches the surface.

I love working with companies that work so hard to take care of our team.

I was thinking of proposing some program for wellness earlier this year but its already started, Kudos to BP3 :), As numerous studies have shown exercise (fitness) acts as cognitive enhancer promoting creativity and in this age where creativity wins, we more so need it :)
