Almost everyone in one shot!

This post isn’t about BPM, or BP3.  But it is about Austin, startups, and networks.    We’re hosting the 4th OTB unconference in Austin this weekend.  We’re building value in a conference of former colleagues who used to work together, mostly in Austin, mostly at Trilogy.

  1. 2011 – “this one goes to eleven” – the inaugural OTB conference took place at the historic Driskill hotel in Austin, TX.
  2. 2012 – “vote early, vote often” – the second installment of OTB took place in the Union Square Ventures space, courtesy of Gary Chou’s invitation, in New York City.
  3. 2014 – we convened at Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park, CA. Trilogy alumni have had a big effect on recruiting, engineering, and little parts of the site like photos…
  4. 2015 – we’re convening at Capital Factory in Austin, TX, ground zero for startups in Austin.  The topics will be many and varied and good. And irreverent.  I haven’t done the stats on who is attending yet but I have no doubt it will be a typical mix of founders, executives, product designers, incredible software developers, lawyers, doctors, and many other professions.

If you’re part of a great alumni network, tap into the value – at a personal and professional level it is hard to over-estimate the value they can bring to your life if you’re take advantage. Who knows, you might be the #2 most entrepreneurial alumni network.
