MWD on IBM Customer Analytics
I’ve always liked the research MWD does, not because I always agree with it but because they give you a read that still had rough edges on it that, rather than being smooth and shiny.
The company’s strategic commitment to analytics builds upon a strong foundation: as an example, its research labs have for some time been regarded as world leaders in areas of algorithmic development. However activity has accelerated significantly in recent years by virtue of an aggressive acquisition strategy; IBM has invested over $17 billion in more than 30 acquisitions to build out capabilities in Big Data and analytics. Those most relevant to customer analytics include SPSS, Cognos, Unica, Coremetrics, Tealeaf and Xtify.
