If you’ve had the chance to work with our BP Labs team, you’ve probably experienced first hand the hard work, innovativeness and dedication we see every day in the office.  These are the folks who come to the rescue day and night to fix your BPM problems and emergencies.

But they are more than just BPM superheroes.  So today, we thought it would be cool to introduce a few members of the Labs team to the blog.

Dave Rosen, Lead Engineer, BP Labs

What is your favorite memory so far of working at BP3?
I’d have to say my favorite memory was hearing that at the IBM Impact 2014 conference in Vegas, a customer I had been working with saw BP3 sweater vests and jumped out of a restaurant, excitedly asking if one of them was Dave Rosen.  Hearing how excited customers are and how happy they are with our service is fantastic.  That and I have people in other cities looking for me :)

If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live?
US Virgin Islands or at least somewhere near a beach.  There’s something about being able to sit on a beach and work.  The only problem is where do I plug in my monitor?

What is your favorite holiday?
Do I have to pick just one?  Guy Fawkes day?  Or Thanksgiving…there’s something about turkey and stuffing.

What is your favorite BPM success story?
I’d have to say my biggest BPM win has been to get to work with so many sharp people in Labs and helping grow one of the best teams in the industry.

What is the best part of working at BP3?
My favorite part of working at BP3 is the culture! Aside from everyone being so technically capable, people relate to each other as people and look for ways to help each other and our customers succeed.

Aside from DeveloperWorks and BP-3.com, what is your favorite website?
Questions on favorites are so hard for me because I have a favorites list a mile long. As a creative I have been enjoying exploring Kristen Lewis’ photographs. She is a new favorite of mine.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Oooh tough question… I love to travel and learn about new cultures. Right now the two places I really want to go back and stay for a while are Perth and Paris.

What is your biggest BPM success story?
Being a part of such a great team! It has been really cool to observe how we work with clients and the help that we are able to give them to better understand their processes. And in my opinion, the Brazos UI toolkit really gives coaches a more modern look and feel.

What is the best part of working at BP3?
The people, the team and on top of that, the company values and goals.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Throughout my career I’ve lived in several different countries for extended periods of time, so this is a hard one to answer. I think I would say Lisbon or Austin. In both of those cities I’ve found a few things I cherish a lot: good and honest people, good food and a lot of sun.

If you could have dinner with any living celebrity, who would it be?
What a shame it can only be a living celebrity – Steve Jobs was the one. Since it’s not possible, I would choose Larry Page. I would like to know how he thinks, how he expands to different markets and what’s coming next.

What is your biggest BPM success story?
The past success I’m most proud of is my BPM program delivery and how much the customers appreciated it. More recently I’m proud of continuing the work and mindset on Brazos. It’s so rewarding to be part of Labs and to be involved in some of our great initiatives and help so many customers around the world.
