Google Readers of Our Blog, Keep Following Us! by

If you use Google Reader to keep up with our blog, please take a moment to export your Google subscriptions (Google Reader has instructions), and find another good tool to follow blogs in.  The subscriptions.xml file is your key to import into other tools and maintain all of your valuable collated sources of news – BPM and otherwise!

We recommend looking at Feedly or other similar tools.  In fact, Digg just released a new reader that has received good reviews as well.  I’ve been using Feedly since just a few days after the Google Reader shutdown announcement and it has been great.

We also added an email subscription link to the right-hand sidebar for those of you that would prefer to get our near-daily posts via email instead of in your reader.

Finally, following @bp3bpm on twitter is a great way to stay up to date with our blog posts (and to avoid any of my personal tweets! )

Thanks for being our loyal readership and subscriber base for BP3!  We couldn’t be more thankful for your support – to the tune of 6000-7000 views per month!

If you’re not a regular user of an RSS reader, I recommend trying it.  The ideal sources of content for your RSS reader are blogs and news sources maintained and written by approximately one person – about one post a day, and at most 3-4 posts per day.  Why? Because if you subscribe to something like the tech crunch feed, or the Huffpo feed, it will overwhelm all other posts in your feed and you will miss valuable insights from independent writers.  A good reader establishes balance in your author sources.  Feel free to ask any questions in the comments below, I’ll be happy to offer our advice or opinions!
